In the present day and time "21st century skills" is a rage. Educators, business leaders and educated officials all around the world are united on the idea that a student must have a specific skill set to be successful in today's economy. Hence, since we live in such revolutionary times that require students to have completely contemporary and different skills, it is important to make a choice between teaching facts and teaching how to approach those facts. The need of the hour however is to focus on the latter and aim at developing skills such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving among others to provide education of a global standard. Therefore, it is compulsory for education to be a combination of theoretical and practical knowledge in today's age as applied skills and competencies can be best taught in the context of a dynamic academic curriculum.

For success in their professional and personal lives, students must learn how to apply what they learn in classrooms to meet real world challenges. This can be fostered by a conducive learning environment where students are better equipped to deal, communicate, understand and help the rest of the world.
